Burglary

Someone stole an iPad from a man’s couch on May 30 between 2 and 5:20 p.m. from his home on the 75-5400 block of Keke Street. The man checked his tenant’s cottage, found the door open and saw the computer and screen were gone.

A man reported that two prescription bottles with controlled substances were stolen from his home on the 74-0800 block of Laimana Street some time between 7 p.m. May 29 and 5 a.m. May 30. The bottles had 26 10mg Valium tablets and 128 10 mg Oxycodone tablets and were on a shelving unit within his studio apartment.

Someone broke into a business on the 82-5800 block of Napoopoo Road by taking the jalousies off the rear window. Nothing was listed at the first entry between 10 p.m. and 10:10 p.m. on June 6. In the second entry the suspect took a gallon of orange juice.

Unlawful control of a propelled vehicle

A vehicle was stolen from the rental car lot at Keahole airport on May 27.

A vehicle was stolen from the rental car lot at Keahole airport on May 28. It was later recovered in a robbery-type case.

A car reported stolen six days earlier was recovered in a traffic stop at 6:43 p.m. July 30 on Kaiminani Drive. The man had reported his granddaughter had taken his white Nissan XTerra from his home on Kealaola Street.

A maroon Ford Ranger with plate ZBJ927 was reported stolen from the parking lot on the 74-5500 block of Kaiwi Street on June 3. The driver left the car about 4 p.m. and returned at 1:15 a.m. June 4 to find it was gone.

Parking near the Captain Cook substation did not prevent a man’s silver Volkswagen Jetta from being taken. The man left the car in front of his store on the 82-6100 block of Hawaii Belt Road at 4:30 p.m. June 5. He discovered it was gone at 5:30 a.m. June 5.

A car was stolen from a man’s home on the 75-0200 Nani Kailua Drive between 12:30 and 8 a.m. on June 6. The car is a silver Saturn four-door, with a sticker on the interior rear view mirror from the Four Seasons Hotel. It also has damage to the passenger side front door, including silver duct tape. Inside was the man’s wallet, a black and pink Science boogie board, Aly fins, custom Ka-Bar knife with his name on it and a black paintball gun.

A white 1993 four-door Honda Civic with plate GXF968 was reported stolen from the parking lot at the ball field by Greenwell Park. It is valued at $1,500.

Unlawful entry into motor vehicle

A woman reported that a man she knew entered her Nissan Frontier on May 26 while it was parked on Loloku Street. He looked through the contents, but nothing was reported taken.

A man reported his medication was stolen from the rear driver’s side seat on June 1 near Honl’s Beach. The white Ford F150 truck was parked on the mauka side of Alii Drive at 1 p.m. When he returned at 1:30 p.m. he found they were gone.

Kayaking in Kealakekua Bay lead to a person’s rental car being damaged and items stolen on June 1. The vehicle was parked on Kahauloa Road and the suspect shattered the rear passenger side window to get in. An iPhone 6S Plus and two Rayban sunglasses were taken from the locked glove box.

Someone entered a car between 8 and 8:26 p.m. on June 3 and stole money from a wallet. The car was parked on the 73-1100 Loloa Drive when someone entered the unlocked car and took $794.

A man reported he was attacked in his vehicle while he was sleeping on June 3 on the 77-6400 block of Alii Drive. The suspect broke the rear driver’s side window, then punched him through the half-open front passenger window. The victim said he was uninjured, refused medical treatment and signed a waiver of prosecution.
