KAILUA-KONA — No tropical cyclones are expected to form within the Central Pacific during the coming 48 hours, according to forecasters with the Honolulu-based Central Pacific Hurricane Center.

Meanwhile, in the Eastern Pacific, National Hurricane Center forecasters in Miami are monitoring an area of disorganized clouds and showers associated with a tropical wave southwest of the Gulf of Tehuantepec. Some development of this system is possible before environmental conditions become less conducive for tropical cyclone formation by the end of this week.
