The fall break program also gives middle school students opportunities to learn about forestry and watershed conservation. Participants will learn to identify common native forest plants and their uses, understand the environments in which they grow, and engage in scientific field research on daily field trips into the Kohala watershed, hands-on workshops and aina-based activities.
