KAILUA-KONA — The Hale Halawai kitchen received a much-needed facelift on Friday thanks to Windermere C and H Properties employees. Cabinets were sanded and painted, floors power washed, walls got a fresh coat of paint and new appliances were installed.

June 8, 331 Windermere offices in 11 states close for a Community Service Day. Hale Halawai was chosen because of the high community usage and obvious need, according to coordinator Leanna Flem.

Kona Used Appliances donated a stove and refrigerator and HPM donated the paint for the project.
