County to stop recycling certain types of plastic rubbish starting Dec. 1

Hawaii County will no longer be accepting No. 5 (polypropylene) plastics including yogurt and hummus containers, syrup bottles, margarine tubs, prescription bottles and bottle caps as well as plastic grocery bags and clam shell-type plastic (salad, bentos, fruit, etc.) at its recycle facilities.
