Seasonal signs say goodbye

People trying to dump their New Year’s trash and recycle Christmas trees at the Kealakehe Transfer station Wednesday morning were met by a line of cars backed up to Queen Kaahumanu Highway.

The Keauhou Transfer Station was closed, and the Kealakehe Station stopped accepting green waste by Wednesday afternoon according to a release by the Department of Environmental Management.
