Photographing Your Artwork with Eric Edwards & Laurel Schultz
This workshop will cover basic techniques for digitizing your drawings, paintings, fiber art, ceramics or sculptures. Learn how to accurately photograph artwork. Format will include an illustrated lecture covering simple techniques. Emphasis will be on methods using equipment available to the amateur photographer. Attendees are requested to bring their own cameras. Attendees are invited to spend the afternoon using DMAC's lighting equipment to practice with their own cameras and artwork. Eric Edwards developed digital imaging products, technology and intellectual property at Sony, and led development of international standards in digital photography, digital cinema, JPEG and MPEG.
Laurel Schultz recently moved to the Big Island from Seattle. She taught photography at the University of Washington and The Photographic Center Northwest in Seattle. She was an Emerging Artist in Residence at the Pilchuck Glass School in 2010, and a Hauberg Fellow there 2011. Her work has been exhibited throughout the United States.
