No tsunami generated by Monday morning Fiji earthquake

No tsunami was generated by a magnitude 6.8-earthquake that struck Monday morning in Fiji, according to the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Honolulu.

The earthquake was recorded at 4:55 a.m., according to the center. Based on all available data, no tsunami was generated and there is no threat to Hawaii.
