Hyundai Motor Co. unveiled its newest compact SUV named Kona this past Tuesday in Seoul, Korea. Kona, named after the district on the Big Island, is stylish and made for the urban active lifestyle hints at the new generation of design. Sales will start in South Korea this summer followed by North America and Europe. An electric version will also be released next year. Hyundai Motor Group continues to name their cars after travel destinations such as Santa Fe, Veracruz and Tuscon. Hyundai has also been the main sponsor for the PGA Tournament of Champions at Kapalua from 2011 to 2016.
