    For nearly two decades, Tutu & Me Traveling Preschool has been provided a free, innovative program for keiki and their ohana statewide. To show support and mahalo for this, caregivers of the Waimea and Kohala sites will hold a sign waiving at noon this Tuesday on Church Row in Waimea.

    As part of Little Fir Ants initiatives underway in North Kohala, Stop LFA Kohala is a new group designed to raise community awareness about LFA outbreaks in the region, give a practical understanding about how to protect owners’ properties, and provide information about state and county public resources.

    From 5:30-9:30 p.m. next Saturday at Kawaihae Harbor, the event will include dinner, country music by Patio Productions starring Willie-Joe Camara and Damien DeMello, a silent auction and dancing under the stars.

    Na Imi Ike, a Hawaiian language study group, will continue to meet from 3:30-4:30 each Thursday through the summer at North Kohala Public Library. All ages and skill levels are invited to join the study group which is coordinated by Kamehameha Preschool teacher Jesse Lucas.
