Waikoloa Dog Park Group meeting open to all North Hawaii residents: Next step to bring first dog park to the region

WAIKOLOA VILLAGE — Dog lovers in North Hawaii who want to support a new Waikoloa Village dog park can attend a public meeting from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the Homeowner’s Association Community Room, next to Waikoloa Grill &Bar.

    From 8:30-10 a.m. this Wednesday, anyone is welcome to attend the gathering at Historic Spencer House Conference Room. Community groups, organizations, churches, schools, ranches, farmers and businesses are invited to participate in the parade meeting and event.

    Nonprofit Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii will host a legal clinic from 9 a.m.-noon Aug. 19 in the Waimea Elementary School cafeteria. The service is free for low and moderate income families. The deadline to qualify is Aug. 4 and to make an appointment.
