Grant allows free spay/neuter clinics
Three Ring Ranch will offer 12 days of feline spay and neuter clinics throughout this year, Curator Ann Goody said.
The exact dates for the clinics, which will be free to low-income and fixed-income cat owners, have not yet been determined, Goody said. Limited spaces will also be available for small breed dogs.
The PETCO Foundation gave the ranch a grant to fund the clinics.
Goody said income limits would likely be the same as income limits for the state’s EBT program. People with a fixed income could show some proof of that income to qualify, too, she added. The exact income confirmation requirements are still being determined, she said.

U.S. Marshals arrested 62-year-old Stanley James Pacheco Monday at Santa Clara Pueblo on Monday. He is being held on $500,000 and faces an extradition hearing back to Maui.
The Santa Clara police chief confirmed Pacheco is not a member of the tribe and not subject to extradition hearings in tribal court.
Authorities said he fled Maui after a warrant was issued for his arrest when he was indicted in October. The alleged victim is younger than 14.
Pacheco could not be reached Monday at the Santa Fe County Detention Facility.
