According to the service, around 10 a.m. radar showed heavy rain in the Ka’u and Puna districts. The area of heavy rain is nearly stationary and falling at a rate of 1 inch an hour.
Residents are cautioned to stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low-lying areas. Do not cross fast-flowing or rising water.
