Kona Town Meeting venue changed

Tonight’s town meeting location changed

The location for tonight’s Kona Town Meeting has been changed. A spokesman for the Department of Parks and Recreation said Monday the meeting has been moved to Keakuaokalani Gym, just south of the Old Kona Airport Park. The change was made because the meeting’s regular venue, the Makaeo Pavilion, was double booked.

The meeting runs from 6-8 p.m. This month’s topic is needs of local charities. South Kona Councilwoman Brenda Ford is also scheduled to speak.
