Carmen Joanel Lacro, 49, of Pahala, formerly of Naalehu, died March 6 at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center in Phoenix. Born in Pahala, she was a credit and collections clerk for Hilo Medical Center and member of Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Friends may call at 5 p.m. March 23 at Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church for a 7 p.m. service. Friends may again call at 8 a.m. March 24 at Pahala Holy Rosary Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Burial follows in the church cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.
She is survived by husband, Stanley Lorenzo, of Pahala; daughter, Denise Nelson, of Aliso Viejo, Calif.; hanai son, Everett (Shelly) Lacro of Orange, Calif.; parents, Alfred and Esther Lacro, of Naalehu; brothers, Burt (Jean) Castro, of Riverdale, Ga., Al (Luanne) Lacro of Graham, Wash., Vernon (Amanda) Lacro, of Las Vegas, Everett (Marie) Lacr of Hilo, Ronald (Jon Schum) Lacr of Boston, Jon (Sheri) Lacro, of San Diego; sisters, Cynthia (Rich Faith) Lacro, of West Linn, Ore., Charlene (Ron) Nilson, of Green Valley, Ariz., Janice (Steve Robertson) Lacro, of Kona; hanai sisters, Kathy (Stanley) Kutsunai, of Hilo, Kapiolani (Wally) Ma, of Honolulu; three grandsons; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
