It’s time to breathe some new life into your everyday trash.
The sixth annual Trash Bash Art Show will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. April 21, upstairs at The Kohala Coffee Mill in Hawi.
In addition to some creative trash art, this year’s show will feature locally grown food, a cash kava bar, entertainment by David Link and cash prizes. Attendees will vote for their favorite trash treasures. Of course, trashy costumes are encouraged and can also be entered into the show.
There is still time to get in on the action. Those interested can bring their ready-to-display artwork, clearly labeled with their name, to the Kava Kafe (upstairs at The Kohala Coffee Mill) between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. April 16. Entry forms are available online at kohalatrashbash.com. There is a $5 fee per entry. Check out the website for ideas and links to amazing examples of trash art from around the world.
Join in the fun and help reuse, reduce and recycle. For more information, visit the website or call Colleen at 889-5009.
