Pawela Kaaua

Pawela Kaaua, 85, of Pepeekeo, died March 13 at a private care home. Born in Hakalau, he was a retired truck driver with the former Hilo Coast Processing and member of the Honomu Branch of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Private services were held.

He is survived by caregiver, Emerly Ilar, of Hilo; brother-in-law, Suse Soares, of Kohala; several nieces and nephews.
