Join a Japanese cooking demonstration class with Abbey Golden, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. April 10 at Hale Halawai. Learn the secrets of light crisp vegetable tempura with dipping sauce. Discover the basics of sushi rolls and some non-traditional ideas for filling them. To balance the meal, a green salad with miso-ginger dressing will be prepared. This vegetarian class will discuss ways to use raw fish in sushi, but participants will not be eating raw fish.
