George Meisner Jr.

George “Sunny” Rae Meisner Jr., 86, of Kealakekua, died April 23 at his residence. Born Aug. 24, 1925, in Honolulu, he was a retired mechanical engineer anad a Naval Reserve and Merchant Marine officer who served in the South Pacific during World War II.

Services will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be sent to Hospice of Kona, P.O. Box 4130, Kailua-Kona, HI 96740.

He is survived by son, Marc (Manon) Meisner, of Kealakekua; six grandchildren;nine great-grandchildren; a nephew.
