Daniel “Dano” Kaniala Kula Lovell Toshie Otake, 28, of Hawi, died April 19 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. May 5 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hawi for an 11:30 a.m. service. Burial to follow at Hawi County Cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by son, Lucas Otake, of Manteca, Calif.; parents, Stanley and Ida Otake Sr., of Hawi; paternal grandmother, Helen Otake, of Wahiawa, Oahu; brothers, Stanley (Luisa) Otake Jr., of Gresham, Ore., Mauoni Otake-Akina, of Provo, Utah; sisters, Yurie (George) Akina, of Ewa Beach, Oahu, Rebekah (Canton) Soifua, of Eagle Mountain, Utah, Eilee (Rod) Takemoto, of Waikoloa, Ellise (Imua) Loo, of Waimea, Dardy (Nicholas) Alaimo, of Provo, Utah, Helene Otake, of Los Angeles; hanai brother, Quinlinn (Bernice) Adolpho, of New Mexico; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
