Military convoys on roads today, Thursday
Oahu-based military units will convoy from Pohakuloa Training Area to Kawaihae Harbor between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. today and Thursday via Saddle Road, Mamalahoa Highway, Waikoloa Road, Queen Kaahumanu Highway and Kawaihae Road.
The convoys will have Hawaii Police Department escorts front and rear. Motorists are advised to be alert and drive safely.
The PTA Department of Army police is working closely with local authorities and military units to coordinate this activity in support of unit training.

Harmonic healing workshop planned
Gen and Yumi Morita, creators of the Harmonics Healing system, are offering a free introductory workshop from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, with an open clinic following, at Dragonfly Ranch. The method is a modern practice drawing on ancient techniques from around the world focused on balancing body systems and targeting the needs of individual organ systems for overall health.
Private sessions are available from 3 to 6 p.m. after the workshop. Refreshments will be served.
Meditation slated for Sunday in Volcano
“The Wheel of Life,” Buddha’s only drawing, will be the topic for meditation and discourse from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Volcano Art Center Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village.
The class is free and open to beginning and practiced meditators. Participants should dress warmly; cushions are optional.
