The Three Mountain Alliance, Natural Area Reserves System, Alala Project and Wailoa Arts and Cultural Center announce “Hawaii Nei 2012,” a juried art exhibition celebrating the native flora and fauna of Hawaii Island. Amateur and professional artists of all ages are invited to submit works of art celebrating the island’s native plants, animals and habitats.
A reception and award ceremony for young artists and their families is planned from 4 to 5 p.m. Nov. 2 at the Wailoa Arts and Cultural Center in Hilo. A reception and award ceremony for the adult division follows from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Artwork will be displayed from Nov. 2 through 26 at the center.
Entry forms are available at hawp.org/partnerships/three-mountain or at the Wailoa Arts and Cultural Center. Artwork should be submitted between noon and 7 p.m. Oct. 26 at Wailoa Arts and Cultural Center.
