Yoshiko Miyashiro

Yoshiko Miyashiro, 89, of Pepeekeo, died June 9 at a care home in Hilo. Born Sept. 25, 1922, in Pepeekeo, she was retired from E.B. de Silva Elementary School and member of Hakalau Jodo Mission Kyodan and Fujinkai, Hui Okinawa and Ijun.

Private services were held.

She is survived by son, Dean Miyashiro, of Anaheim, Calif.; brother, Edward (Evelyn) Harakuni, of Waikele, Oahu; sister, Mildred Suganuma, of Moraga, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews.
