Tsuruko Nakashima, 90, of Hilo, died June 21 at her residence. Born in Hilo, she was a retired waitress at the former Hilo Grill and member of Hui Okinawa.
Private services were held. Family requests no flowers or monetary gifts.
She is survived by sons, Calvin (Shirley) Nakashima, Larry (Lono) Nakashima and Dennis (Edna) Nakashima, all of Hilo, Carl (Carlene) Nakashima, of Las Vegas; daughter, Sharon (Hiram) Okuda, of Hilo; brother, Hank (Hideko) Kaneshiro, of Hilo; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
