Hatsume Hirano

Hatsume Hirano, 90, of Hilo, died July 4 at her home. Born Dec. 13, 1921, in Kapapala, Ka’u, she was a retired dental assistant and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin Kyodan and Buddhist Women’s Association.

Private services were held. The family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.

She is survived by sons, Ronald (Charlene) Hirano of Pearl City, Oahu, Bruce Hirano of Hilo; daughters, Norma Abe of Kaneohe, Oahu, Aileen (Sidney) Fuke of Hilo; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.
