Mary “Poki” Ann Goold, 84, of Kailua-Kona, died Sept. 4 at Life Care Center of Kona. Born April 28, 1928, in Los Angeles, she was homemaker; chef and owner of Poki’s Pasta and Poki’s at Dorian’s;former cook for the former King Kamehameha Hotel; chef for the former Red Pants Bar, Kona Steakhouse, Kona Daze, Jose’s and Keauhou Country Club Restaurant and a new restaurant consultant.
Friends may call at 2 p.m. Sept. 11 at Kona Outdoor Circle for a celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn and no flowers.
She is survived by husband, Bob Goold, of Kailua-Kona; sons, Steve (Linda) Gooldm of Lake Forest, Calif., Craig (Erina) Goold and Joe Goold, both of Bora Bora, Tahiti, Kelly (Leona) Goold, of Waimea, Bruce (Maile) Goold, of Las Vegas; daughters, Cheri (Arthur) Mandaquit, of Kailua-Kona, Sue (Blue) Fronda, of Holualoa; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
