The Hawaii Police Department’s Hawaii Isle Police Activities League will host its Halloween Havoc 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament in Keaukaha Oct. 26-28 at the Kawananakoa gym.
Team entries are being accepted in the following age divisions: 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, high school boys, girls 10 and under, girls 12 and under, girls 14 and under and high school girls. The age cutoff date is Dec. 31, 2012.
HI-PAL plans to have the teams with players aged 13 and older play their games in the evening Oct. 26. Teams with players aged 5 to 12 will play Oct. 27 and 28.
The deadline to enter is Oct. 19. Each team will be required to complete a registration packet, which must be submitted by then.
In addition to the tournament, police will provide information on how to make Halloween activities safer as well as a child seat safety checkpoint Oct. 27.
