Kupuna hula solo results

The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation on Wednesday announced the solo performance winners of the 30th annual Hawaii Kupuna Hula Festival held earlier this month at the Sheraton Kona Resort and Spa at Keauhou Bay.

This year’s solo performance division winners:

— Kane Division: Allen Diorec, first; Kealoha Sugiyama, second; Kanananiokalani Neizman, third.

— Wahine Division: Julie Viloria, first; Momi Sheehan, second; Louise Alina, third.

Results for the festival’s group division winners were published in the Sept. 15 edition of West Hawaii Today.
