He is survived by sons, Lance (Jamie) Kauwe of Kauai, Justin Kauwe of Honolulu; father, Abraham Kauwe of Hilo; brother, Gabriel Kauwe of Hilo; sisters, Laurena Martines of Texas, Lavern Kee of Arizona, Loretta (Tony) Cox of Hilo, Loraine Smith of Virginia; three grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
