Dereck Saludo Pacatang, 30, of Kailua-Kona died Oct. 15 at Kona Community Hospital. Born Sept. 10, 1982, in Kealakekua, he was a warehouse delivery driver for Kona Trans, Grabber Drywall, Hinchcliff Drywall and most recently, a cook at Bite Me Fish Market; and member of Koa Puna Motorcycle Club Kona Chapter.
Friends may call at 11 a.m. Nov. 3 at the Hawaii Big Game Fishing Club at Honokohau Harbor for a celebration of life. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.
He is survived by companion, Andrea Pacatang of Hookena; sons, Dereck Pacatang and Kingztyn Pacatang, both of Kailua-Kona; daughter, Lehjennd Pacatang of Kailua-Kona; parents, Querico and Laurie Pacatang of Kailua-Kona; brother, Joshua (Jen) Pacatang of Kailua-Kona; sisters, Norene (Joe) Cabuag of Kailua-Kona, Naylene (Conrad) Haleamau of Kalaoa; maternal grandmother, Arlene Antone of Makiki, Oahu; hanai children, Makana Case and Isaiah Case, both of Kailua-Kona; hanai father, Alfred Pacatang Sr. of Kailua-Kona; hanai brother, Alfred (Alessa) Pacatang Jr. of Kailua-Kona; hanai sisters, Tina (Lephi) Pacatang-Taetuna of Ocean View, Pamora (Tyson) Miguel of Ventura, Calif.; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
