Fire officials are investigating the cause of a Friday afternoon brush fire that consumed about 4 acres in Volcano.
The fire, reported about 3:12 p.m. in grassland near Keauhou Ranch, was declared about 95 percent contained by early Saturday, according to the Hawaii Fire Department. Mop-up efforts continued Saturday.
No injuries were reported and no structures were threatened by the fire, which broke out in Bishop Estate land near the Keauhou Bird Sanctuary.
