Police say S. Kona death caused by medical condition

An autopsy has determined that 38-year-old Marcus Aickin of Ocean View died Wednesday from a medical condition and not from a one-vehicle crash in South Kona, according to the Hawaii Police Department.

Aickin was operating a 2008 Ford pickup truck northbound on Highway 11 near Kona Paradise, when he apparently crossed the center line and ran off the makai side of the road and struck a tree, according to police. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
