Raymond Albarando Rubio, 88, of Hilo died Feb. 13, 2013, at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born March 15, 1924, in Papaaloa, he was a retired farm supervisor and a World War II Army veteran.
Friends may call at 9 a.m. Feb. 25 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hilo, for a 10 a.m. Mass. A graveside urn committal service will be held at 9 a.m. Feb. 26 at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Family requests casual attire be worn.
He is survived by sons, Raymond (Kathy) Rubio Jr. and Nickolas (Stella) Rubio, both of California; brother, Ponci Robia of Hilo; sister, Antonina Himalaya of Hilo; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
