Daniel Seong Chang, 92, of Kapaau died Feb. 11, 2013, at his daughter’s residence. Born Aug. 10, 1920, in Kohala, he was a retired welder for the former Kohala Sugar Co. and member of the Senior Citizens Club of Kohala and Kohala Gateball Club.
Friends may call at 10 a.m. March 2 at Kalahikiola Congregational Church in Kapaau for an 11 a.m. service. Burial follows at Waianaia Cemetery in Halaula. Family requests aloha attire be worn.
He is survived by wife, Elizabeth Chang of Kapaau; daughters, Nalani (Keith) Fujimoto of Waipahu, Oahu, Bette Sue (Joseph) Cazimero Jr. of Laie, Oahu; brothers, Benjamin Chang of California, Joseph (Betty) Chang of Kohala; sisters, Violet Kaiawe of Kohala, Florence Brown of Honolulu, Betty Trawick and Leina (Ernest) Begley, both of North Dakota; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
