Wataru Shigehara

Wataru Shigehara, 93, of Hilo died March 13, 2013. Born in Onomea, he was a retired supervisor at the Mauna Kea Sugar Plantation.

Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. April 12 at Borthwick Hawaii Funeral Home for a 10:30 a.m. service. Burial is at noon at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2.

He is survived by sons, Glen Shigehara and Keith (Janet) Shigehara, both of Hilo; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
