Brian George Ross, 74, of Paia, and formerly of Hilo, died April 19, 2013, at his residence. Born on Aug. 8, 1938, in Auckland, New Zealand, he formerly worked as the Factory Shop Services Manager at Hawaiian Commercial and Sugar Company. He was also a veteran of the New Zealand Army.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on April 24 at Ballard Family Mortuary in Kahului. An additional visition will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. April 25 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church on Maui, to be followed by an 11 a.m. Mass. Burial will be private.
He is survived by his wife, Lilia Zalsos Ross of Paia, Maui; sons, Chris (Rafael Maldonado) Ross of Montreal, Canada, Tony (Laura) Ross of Waimea, Michael D. Ross of Dallas, Texas, and Gregory Z. Ross of Paia, Maui; daughters, Kathleen (Barry) Aoki of Lahaina, Maui, and Sharon Zalsos of Wailuku, Maui; brother, John (Yong) Ross of Honolulu; sister, Suzanne (Brian) Gailer of New Zealand; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
