William “Willy” Martines, 68, of Honokaa died April 24, 2013, at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born Nov. 18, 1944, in Paauilo, he was a laborer for the former Hamakua Sugar Mill Co. and member of the Kohala Puerto Rican Social Club and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa.
Private services were held.
He is survived by son, William (Denise) Martines Jr. of Pittsburgh, Calif.; daughter, Bridgitte Potkonicky of Greenville, Pa.; brother, Jerry Martines of Honokaa; hanai sister, Darlene Martines of Waimea; six grandchildren; numerous aunt, nieces, nephews and cousins.
