William Cornelius Ryan, 82, of Kailua-Kona died May 3, 2013 at Kona Community Hospital. Born June 25, 1930, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a retired passenger planner for United Airlines; member of the Knights of Columbus and Navy veteran.
Private services will be held.
He is survived by daughters, Ellen (Dave) Chappuies of Midvale, Utah, Katherine (Martin) Burck of Kailua-Kona, June (Dave) Strauch of Sellersville, Pa.; sister, Theresa Ryan of Brooklyn, N.Y.; brother, Francis (Shirley) Ryan of Port Hayward, Va.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
