Benjamin “Benny” Joseph Botelho, 84, of Halaula died May 17, 2013, at The Queen’s Medical Center. Born March 1, 1929, in Kohala, he was a Korean War Army veteran, a heavy equipment mechanic for the former Kohala Sugar Co., and member of the Kohala Senoir Citizens club.
Friends may call at 8 a.m. June 9 at the Kohala Seventh-day Adventist Church in Hawi for a 10 a.m. service, followed by burial with full military honors at the church’s cemetery. Family requests casual attire be worn. Flowers are welcome.
He is survived by son, Haven Botelho of Halaula; sister, Sharon Botelho of Halaula; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
