Tadashi “Dick” Shiraishi, 95, of Hilo died June 28, 2013, at Hilo Medical Center. Born Nov. 12, 1917, in Puna, he was the retired owner of the former Hilo Blueprint and Supply Ltd. and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin.
Friends may call at 4 p.m. July 9 at Dodo Mortuary chapel in Hilo for a 5 p.m. service. Family requests casual attire be worn and no monetary gifts.
He is survived by wife, Satsuki Shiraishi of Hilo; son, Wayne (Valarie) Shiraishi of Kohala; daughter, Grace (Joel) Hisanaga of Hilo; sister, Miyoko Nakayama of Hilo; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
