Big Island Babe Ruth Baseball

Big Island Babe Ruth Baseball registration for 4 1/2- to 15-year-olds for the 2013-14 season is opening soon.

To be placed on a team you must submit the following items:

c Registration form

c Original birth certificate (for viewing only) and extra photocopy

c Proof of residence — one copy (must show street address)

Registration fees are:

c $55 for tee ball

c $60 for coach pitch (rookie)

c $85 for minors

c $100 for majors

Registration fees include caps and shirts, participation awards (for tee ball, rookie participants).

Families with two or more children will receive a $5 discount per child.

Tee ball and rookie — a $10 late fee will be charged per child for registration between Dec. 1 and Dec. 31.

A $25 late fee will be charged per child for registration between Jan. 1 and Jan 10. No registration forms will be accepted after Jan. 10.

In Kailua-Kona (across from Kona Community Aquatic Center):

c Monday, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

c Wednesday, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

c Oct. 26 from 9 a.m. to noon

In Captain Cook (at Yano Hall):

c Oct. 25, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

c Nov. 2, from 10 a.m. to noon

In Waikoloa (at Hooko Street Park):

c Tuesday, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

c Oct. 24, from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

c Oct. 26, from 1 to 3 p.m.
