People of all ages enjoyed the Kona Coffee Cultural Festival’s Hoolaulea Saturday at the Keauhou Shopping Center.
Sponsored by Kamehameha Schools, this event brought together Kona’s world famous coffee and the cultures that support it in a fun, unique way. It was a chance to connect with artisans, farmers, cultural practitioners, community members and festival volunteers.
Attendees explored an interactive global village, where numerous keiki activities and hands-on cultural workshops were offered. They could also pick up something tasty to eat at the popular ethnic food market.
At the Kona coffee corridor, festival-goers sampled different brews while talking story with local farmers.
There was also lots of entertainment, including a taiko drum performance and bon dance.
The hoolaulea was part of 43rd annual Kona Coffee Cultural Festival finale.
