Police search for missing 55-year-old woman

Big Island police are searching for a 55-year-old woman who has been reported as missing.

Ada Araki, who police say is dependent on medication, was last seen in Hilo on Friday, according to the Hawaii Police Department. She may have been headed to Kona.

Araki is 4 feet 9 inches tall and weights 135 pounds. She has brown eyes and gray hair. She was last seen wearing blue pants and a light green shirt.

Anyone with information on Araki’s whereabouts is urged to call the department’s nonemergency line at 935-3311.
