WAIMEA — Parker School’s after-school drama program of nearly 60 students in grades 6-12 will present a new twist on two classic tales next weekend in “Dorothy In Wonderland,” the school’s fall production.
The worlds of Oz and Wonderland collide in this delightful, clever and carefully adapted play from the works of L. Frank Baum and Lewis Carroll in which the leading ladies, Dorothy and Alice, team up against the Queen of Hearts to return Wonderland to normal and find their way home.
Parker students are involved in both onstage and behind-the-scenes aspects of this production.
“Dorothy In Wonderland” will be performed in the school’s historic theatre at 7 p.m. on Nov. 4 and 5, and 2 p.m. on Nov. 6. Children of all ages are invited to attend the production.
Tickets will be available at the door with $10 for general admission, $5 for all students and ages 3 and under free. New this year is a special “dress-up discount.” Attendees who come dressed as a fairy tale character will receive $1 off, with a limit of one discount per person, per performance.
