Elks Lodge programs to support veterans
The Kona Elks lodge will be hosting a dinner every third Thursday starting Feb. 15.
The goal is to help provide home kits and donations for veterans housing. The home-cooked dinner, which will be served 6-8 p.m., will cost $25, and a veteran eats for free.
Reservations required; call 329-2616 or sign up at the lodge on Pawai Place. You can also call if you would like to help out in a different way; volunteers are always welcome.
Home kits should can include slightly used or new linens, towels, cleaning supplies, toiletries and more.
