Family gathered around to watch five Kealakehe football players sign letters of intent to play ball at the next level Friday at Kealakehe High School.

Zane Martin, Deven Makana Wagner and Chezarae Ramos committed to College of the Redwoods where they will study auto tech, fire tech and core courses respectively.

Reign Dinson-Watai received a NIA Scholarship to play at Culver Stockton College where he plans on majoring in sports management.

Hunter Wehrsig is heading to Southern Oregon University with a NIA scholarship where he will study physical education.

Waverider coach Wyatt Nahale told the signees that this was a stepping stone in their journey.

“I’m extremely proud of these five young men,” Nahale told the gathering of family and friends. “Wherever you go, you cary Hawaii in your heart, always with you.”
