East side Memorial Day observance streamed online due to virus restrictions

Headstones at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 1 in Hilo are adorned with flags Monday morning in observance of Memorial Day. The cemetery is empty due to the coronavirus pandemic. The main flag at the pavilion flies at half-staff by order of Gov. David Ige to honor U.S. military members who lost their lives in service to the country and those who've died during the pandemic.
