Virtual resource fair coming up
Hui Laulima is hosting a COVID-19 Virtual Resource Fair from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Oct. 2.
Agencies will present resources for families during a Zoom meeting, with a question and answer session at the end. Presenters include Catholic Charities, Children’s Law Project of Hawaii, Child &Family Service, Department of Education, Keiki O Ka Aina, Habitat for Humanity, Hokupaa, Neighborhood Place of Kona, Partners in Development, PATCH, West Hawaii Community Health Center, West Hawaii Mediate Center and the Workforce Development Division. Moderating the fair is Christine Estencion from PATCH.

Libraries unable to accept donations
Due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19, Kona’s public libraries and the Friends of the Library, Kona, (F.O.L.K.) are currently unable to accept donated materials.
Hawaii State Public Library System users may request books to be held for pick-up at the front entrances of the Kealakekua and Kailua-Kona public libraries; the drive-through at the Kailua-Kona library is currently not available. Holds may be requested online at www.librarieshawaii.org or by calling the Kailua-Kona library at (808) 327-4327 or the Kealakekua library at (808) 323-7585.
