Fire damages Pahoa home

Three people escaped injury after a Pahoa home caught fire Tuesday afternoon.

Responding to the 4:17 p.m. alarm, Hawaii Fire Department personnel arrived at 15-3226 Hoopili St. to find a one-story structure about 60% in flames, according to a media release issued. The fire was declared extinguished at 5:15 p.m.

Three occupants were listed as being at the home. No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
