Update: Hawaii Island police reported Saturday morning that Gabriel DeSilva, 71, of Hilo, who had been reported missing was found in good health.

Hawaii Island police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 71-year-old Hilo man who was reported missing.

Gabriel DeSilva was last seen on Kupuna Street, near Mohouli Street, around 10 a.m. Friday in Hilo, according to the Hawaii Police Department. DeSilva is described as being approximately 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 143 pounds, with a dark complexion with medium length hair and no facial hair. He was last seen wearing a green button-down shirt, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.

Anyone with any information on DeSilva’s whereabouts should call the department’s nonemergency line at phone number (808) 935-3311.
